What is Basic Registration?
Basic Registration is the first step of the AIIMS application process.
Important Points About Basic Registration
1. No Registration Fee
There is no fee for Basic Registration. Students can complete it free of cost.
2. Only Basic Details Are Required
During Basic Registration, students only need to fill in simple personal details such as:
- Name
- Parents’ names
- Address
- Basic personal information
No major document upload is required at this stage.
3. It Is Done Only Once in Lifetime
This is one of the most important points students should remember.
If you have already completed Basic Registration in previous years such as 2023, 2024, or 2025, then you do not need to do it again in 2026 or future years.
Once completed successfully, Basic Registration remains valid permanently.
However, students who have not completed it must do so once to proceed to Final Registration.
What is Final Registration?
After Basic Registration is completed, you can do Final Registration. The required list of things is given below
- Photograph
- Signature
- Thumb impression
- Caste certificate (if applicable)
- Aadhaar card and other required documents
Students should carefully read the official notification because document requirements may change from year to year.
What is RUC Code in AIIMS?
During Final Registration, students need to generate an RUC (Registration Unique Code).
